Avatar is a movie my husband and I have been waiting to see since the first trailer came our over the summer. We actually went down to the nearest IMAX to watch the 15 minute preview in July…which only made us more excited to see it opening night. We wanted to get the 6:30 show, but it was sold out (we’d gotten there an hour early) and the next IMAX showing was going fast so we got our tickets for the 9:40 showing (yes, a 4 hour wait) and as the time grew near we were just hoping it was going to be worth it. The Box Review

The Box…is actually a movie about a button, and quite frankly, it pushed mine. Though, it did so much more than that – it was deeply moving, and while unappreciated by myself, I left the theater unable to stop thinking about it and how it affected me. The subtleties and metaphors were not only well used, but very effective.

cloudy_with_a_chance_of_meatballs_ver3Have you ever seen a movie, where giant meatballs has the power to cause the end of the world?
Well, it didn’t start out as a story for the screen. The first time I saw “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” it was an illustrated children’s book. We got it in a cereal box, and never forgot about it.
So, is the movie as good as the book, and is it worth seeing?
